Love These Kids

Paisley and Kaiser came up for a visit last week and we were able to soak them in a bit before they had to head back to California. I love these sweet kids and always have a hard time saying goodbye. Ada had such a fun time playing with her cousins, which is always fun for us to watch. The day before they flew back home, we all met up for a picnic lunch at Nana's work. Skip made us a delicious lunch and Odin gave cart rides. We had a great time playing around, taking PLENTY of pictures, and savoring the kiddos!

Ada in the Car

These are just some of the ways we pass the time in the car. Ada has never LOVED being buckled into her seat, so we do a lot of entertaining. This day, she was the one doing the entertaining.

Camping Trip

We were able to do a mini camping trip this Summer, just the 3 of us. We packed up and headed to Silver Falls. We wanted to stay somewhat close to home since this was our first camping trip with Ada. Plus, Matt and I have always loved visiting the Silver Falls. Monday was a great day, with beautiful weather, fun hikes and s'mores. We were fortunate enough to be camping next to a family with little girls. After dinner, Ada got right to work at making some new friends, who thankfully got her good and tired for bed :) After a good night's sleep, we woke to rain... A LOT of rain. Ada and I went on a hunt for puddles while Matt packed up the site. It think we were out of there shortly after 7:30am, but it was a great trip and we can't wait to do it again!

Ada's First Hair Cut!

So we finally did it! Ada got her "Jan Brady" leveled out. Breanna was kind enough to trim up the back in exchange for some fro yo. It was mostly left uncut, but quite a bit was taken off the back to bring the 2 layers closer together :) Ada did such a great job! B was very quick and Ada had a lot of people to distract her. Great work Aunt B!

St. Paul Rodeo

Wow! I am way behind on the blog, but I am going to attempt to catch up in the next couple days. For the 4th of July, we went to the St. Paul rodeo (Ada's first rodeo, Jan and Skip's first Oregon rodeo). It was a great time. What a great show! Aside from the heat and a minor mouth injury on Ada's part, everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves! Can't wait to do it again next year!
